Apps for Good - KEEP TRAINING!

Juanma López Iturriaga concluded: For the ones who won, “keep training”, and for the ones who didn’t win “keep training”.

But in the end WE ALL WON! It was such an incredible experience being there, in the Fundación Endesa Apps for Good Festival, that we all felt that was our price.

Our three finalist Apps: Healthy Scan, Recarga ya and Simple Life were presented in the Market Place and two of the groups had the opportunity to do the elevator pitch. All the three groups made a great job presenting the apps to all the authorities and potential investors and were really professional and communicative. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!

Our bilingual project in the III JORNADA FP ECM

I was so excited when José Antonio Zazo, from Escuelas Católicas, called me to participate in the III Jornada FP ECM.       

It was a great experience were we could share our Bilingual Project in vocational training: the implementation of the European Programmes in our School, the adaptation of the BEDA Programme to Vocational Training and our innovation programmes: Apps for Good and Business is fun. Thank you ECM for this great opportunity!!!

Publicity: launching a commercial

Wolkswagen created a TV commercial to launch its 2012 Beetle. Would you like to watch it?

1. Did you like the commercial? What did you like about it?
2. What is the product like? Does the commercial show it in detail?
3. What do you think is the target? (gender, age, income...)
4. What other media would you use to launch the campaign? Why? (leaflet, billboard, newspapers, radio, mobile...)
5. Choose one of them and develop the campaign. Be creative!!

Apps for Good 2016

We are very happy to launch Apps for Good in EP Javeriana. 

Six teams generating ideas to help our society to solve everyday problems. Exciting, isn’t it?
We really think it will be a great opportunity to work together on an innovative Project.

Apps for good

This is being an exciting term at the Escuela Profesional Javeriana: we launched the project "Apps for good" in the Administration Assistant class. The teacher’s team have been doing the training and working on the planning for about two months and we were ready to implement it.

But you probably wonder what Apps for good is… this is how Rodrigo Baggio, CDI Apps for Good, Founding Chairman & Founder CDI Global describes it:

“Our goal is to transform the way technology is taught in schools; to empower students from all backgrounds to seize the opportunities of our digital age and create solutions to the problems they care about, using technology”.

Business is fun: Shopping in Madrid

My students in the International Trade Class (Year 1) took pictures of the English language used by high-street shops in Madrid. They tweeted them using the hushtag #shoppingepj and their group number. Some students also tested the new Google translate App. Now we need to analyse the information. These questions can help you:

1. Where were the signs?
2. What kind of signs were they?
3. What is the target?
4. Why do you think they are in English?
5. What did you learn by working on this project?
